Sinfonia Borealis – Mors Vincit Omnia

Sinfonia Borealis was formed in Norway in 2022, by experienced musicians that wanted to explore music in a different way, which is also why anonymity is so important.

Musically, there are elements from goth rock, metal, mixed with symphonic elements.

Lyrically the band explores dark aspects of the human condition, and uses real life stories to explore different themes while creating a musical narrative.

With a religious theme that’s almost papal, this track from Norwegian. gothic metal band Sinfonia Borealis boasts an impressive range of instrumental elements, not limited to string instruments and what sounds to be a harpsichord. Building from a quiet organ as a starting point into a crescendo of cinematic sounds, Mors Vincit Omnia is a melding of many different genres and reminds us a little bit of the Transiberian Orchestra at certain points, minus the holiday themes. Their use of instrumental influences and genre blending is carefully measured and serves to make this composition all the more captivating.
