With an international feel to the instrumentals, especially in the percussion section, last month’s release from metalcore/alt-metal artist GEARS takes us on an unexpected sonic journey. Complete with all of the fixings of a classic metalcore sound but with the twist of reggaeton and salsa influences expertly mixed in, My Curse has a danceability that is unheard of in the typical mosh pit and has a pop appeal while still maintaining metallic integrity. We can’t wait to hear what they do next!
