Beginning with and intermittently broken up by what sounds like an acoustic Spanish style guitar, this track from one of our favorites – New York dark wave trio The Dionysus Effect – is a highly stylized and complex piece of music. Released just last month, Everything The Darkness Eats takes the listener through a few different highs and lows, both sonically and in terms of narrative content, and has a timeless feel with lyrics that almost sound like the beginning lines of the first chapter of a classic novella.
