Breaking Serenity x Misstiq – FAREWELL TO YESTERDAY

FAREWELL TO YESTERDAY is a metalcore song by the American band Breaking Serenity, featuring the Australian pianist and producer Misstiq and the American vocalist Myke Terry. The song was released in 2022 as part of the album Letter From A Pandemic, which was inspired by the global COVID-19 crisis and its impact on society and expresses the feelings of anger, frustration, and despair that many people faced during the pandemic, as well as the hope for a better future. The track combines heavy guitar riffs, drums, and screams with melodic piano, synth, and clean vocals, creating a contrast between the dark and light aspects of the situation. The song also has two versions: a reprise version featuring Myke Terry, who is the former vocalist of Bury Your Dead and current vocalist of Volumes, and an original version featuring Where It Lies’s Anthony Ornelas, who is a vocalist and musician from Corona, California.
