Allocer – Cyanide Sleeper

Cyanide Sleeper is the second track of the debut EP The First Offering by Allocer, a death metal band from Perth, Australia. The song is about a cold-blooded assassin who kills his targets with cyanide and displays their frozen corpses in his cave. The song features brutal vocals, fast riffs, and melodic passages that blend elements of deathcore, blackened, and melodic death metal and was released on June 23, 2023, along with the rest of the EP.

The song has a duration of 5 minutes and 21 seconds and is one of the longest tracks on the EP. The lyrics are inspired by the real-life serial killer Richard Kuklinski, who was nicknamed “The Iceman” for his method of freezing his victims to conceal the time of death. The track showcases the vocal range and versatility of Joel Pears, who switches between high-pitched screams and low-pitched growls throughout the song.
