Filicide is a song by D.N.S., a 4-piece horror/thrash metal band from Orange County, formed in 2019. The song features a guest appearance by Chris Poland, a former guitarist of the thrash metal band Megadeth and a current member of the jazz fusion bands OHM and OHMphrey. The song is from the album The End of Silence, which was released in 2023 and is a complex and technical track, with intricate riffs, solos, rhythms and time signatures. The song is about the phenomenon of filicide, the deliberate act of a parent killing their own child, and the psychological and social factors that can lead to such a crime.
