It took years to figure out.” The record also features a masterful reinvention of Concrete Blonde’s 1990 track, “Bloodletting (The Vampire Song),” as well as remix of “Vanishing Cream” from the 1996 album, “The Devil Thumbs a Ride,” on Universal Records. A potent and gooey remix of their 1996 hit Vanishing Cream,Vanishing Cream (Nouveau) was released in January 2024 by veteran rock band The Hunger. A synth-y 80’s darkwave track, Vanishing Cream (Nouveau) gives off a vibe reminiscent of Love Spit Love’s rendition of The Smiths classic How Soon Is Now and delivers a brand new, fresh but nostalgic, take on the original. High energy and groovy with a very catchy chorus, the track opens with sound bites of Claude Reynes as Jack Griffin in the 1933 classic The Invisible Man and features them again in the breakdown.
