Thunderous and epic, this latest release from Australian doom metal band J A G U A R G O D is as deep and sludge-y as it gets. With grinding guitar instrumentals and a hefty drum presence, the overall effect of the first half of the the track is almost cavernous, with a cacophony of sounds blending together as one and creating a depth of sound that’s not often heard. Live Through Me, Guide My Vengeance then transitions into a brief breakdown that offers a quieter moment in an otherwise jam-packed soundscape. The end result is an entrancing and almost cinematic score.
