“Sea of Consciousness is a band formed by guitarist Daniel Sirotski and drummer István Timmermans on the brink of the Covid-crisis in 2019 after the break-up of their previous band ”Inferus Dei”. Thus began a long journey to write an original stage concept, a comprehensing album and an musical concept that reflected the life’s struggles based on the experiences of Daniel Sirotski. The musical influences vary greatly and stretch over a long list of different genres. But the core is a progressive composition, drawing mostly from the atmospheric black and technical death/thrash metal bands. After multiple line-up changes they finally found the remaining bandmembers vocalist Bionda Honings in 2022, bassplayer Jeroen Koorn and leadguitarist Stefan Gerritsen in 2023 and recorded their debut album in august of 2023, which was released on January 12th of 2024. Elements are necessary for the foundation of life as we know it in our universe. Through the personification of these elements, and the musical story we show, we give ourselves and hopefully others the tools to achieve this growth and personal development. The elements must be balanced before a sea of consciousness can emerge.”
