Artist Spotlight: ICAKI

Hailing from Sofia, Bulgaria, this rather underground artist combines industrial sounds with classic metal screams and rap style lyrics. We took a listen to his latest album ICAKI LAIV BEND and the track that really stood out the most to us amongst a plethora of really hard-hitting tracks was TREVOGA.

Combining all of the elements listed above, TREVOGA is definitely the gateway drug song for this artist. If you’re looking to enter the vortex and really get into something new, we recommend you start with this track. Released a month ago along with the rest of his album, TREVOGA is the leading single at the moment and offers a capsule of ICAKI’s overall sound.

Featuring a guest appearance by Never Prey (one of ICAKI’s stated influences along with the likes of Death Grips, $uicideboy$, Slipknot, and KoRn, all of which are very apparent in his sound), TREVOGA includes some major industrial elements but proves its dynamism and diversity with some electronic and dubstep inspired details throughout. Also prevalent is an expert pig squeal, lyrical prowess in the rap verses, and superb guitar instrumentals.
