This Hudson Valley post-hardcore project Round One Flight! submitted these tracks to us a couple weeks ago and we really like both of them and figured we’d do a mini-feature. This artist is pretty underground in terms of following and subscribers, so hopefully we can boost that with this blog feature!
The tracks they submitted are Rise From Your Grave and 5 out of 10, both released independently and within a week of each other just last month (we’re hoping this is a sign that a full album is on the way soon!). The band is reportedly in the studio recording 4 more tracks right now, so we’re thinking our instinct is correct!
Overall, the band’s sound is a melodic take on post-hardcore with a somewhat pop-punk vibe mixed in there. Rise From Your Grave is by far the heavier of the two, but tracks feature some heavy vocals mixed with clean choruses and some pretty killer drums and guitar work.
