Cumbeast – a brutal & groovy deathgrind-act from Finland since 2005 is known for their unique sound – a mix of catchy slamming guitars, versatile fretless bass lines and rabid blastbeats finished with inhuman guttural vocals.
Released only 2 weeks ago and already boasting a staggering 17K views via Youtube, this is the latest from Finnish metal band Cumbeast. An almost whimsical blend of accordion, chimes, and woodwind sounds are the opener for this brutal and experimental concoction of death metal. The attention to detail and layered approach to sound become more and more apparent as the composition unfolds, even ascending into an eery theremin crescendo at one point. The effect is almost indescribable and the only musical reference I have for it is Pink Elephants On Parade from Dumbo, so you should definitely hear for yourself below!
