Mission To Sleep is the solo alternative-rock project from Boston-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rob Wu. A singular vision from one of New England’s most prolific collaborators, Mission To Sleep creates an expansive sound that recalls the loud guitar-rock grandeur of the ‘90s with the introspection and emotive pull of what came afterwards.
The opening track on the band’s debut album titled A Spark or The End, this latest release is from Boston artist Mission To Sleep. A cross between post-hardcore and alt metal, No Anchor has captivatingly mournful vibe to it but doesn’t sacrifice high energy for emotional delivery. With a steady but distinctive approach to percussion, this track gives us just the right amount of pop sensibility and personal perspective while keeping the octane elevated in the instrumentals.
