Released just last month, this is the newest release from UK metal entity Fomented. Described by the band as “hard to box in. It has hardcore, death, and metalcore influences and is 90’s metal/hardcore but modern” and I couldn’t agree more. A rather chaotic convergence of different approaches and metal sub-genres, What Can I Change? defies expectations with its rapid-fire chord progressions and guttural vocal delivery. With all the makings of a death metal composition paired with the brutality and abandon of hardcore music, Fomented’s latest effort is a molotov cocktail thrown into your brain’s auditory cortex.
