Svartebok is a Norwegian Black Metal experiment started in late 2024. Mixing old-school black metal elements with pure noise, and breaking out of the strickt mold that is “TRVE” black metal. Inspired by bands like Mayhem, Satyricon, Watain, Burzum, and more – Svartebok will continue to push the boundaries of extreme metal.
The latest from Norwegian Black Metal newcomers Svartebok, Blood Countess was released just 2 weeks ago. What is most remarkable about this otherwise standard (for the genre) track is the detailed approach to songwriting demonstrated throughout the composition. Complex and even classical sounding poetry echoes throughout the arrangement, giving the track an almost literary atmosphere, like a work Poe transcribed into music. A highly unique treatment that fits perfectly in line with the genre.
