Dammit Goldie – All Them Bones

With punk vocals as strong and earthy as a lion’s roar, nostalgic grunge riffs and a theoretical foundation that rivals legendary math rock bands, Dammit Goldie delivers a rock fusion sound that is equal parts innovative and familiar. Dammit Goldie’s origins stem from Toronto’s punk scene. Vocalist Josh Smith and guitarist Evan Cannavicci met when Smith was holding auditions for a punk rock guitarist. The pair got along famously, and Dammit Goldie – then spelled ‘Damnit Goldie’ – was born.

This eclectic group of musicians makes for an incredibly well-rounded, communicative and experimental band. The imagery of the group itself captures the spirit of punk in a way that’s been hard to find in recent years – a group of friends, unlimited creativity and band practices in the living room of their shared home. After a year-long hiatus from the stage to focus on mastering their craft and finding their sound, the group is set to release a new EP this year.

Pushing the boundaries of hard rock into the realm of metal, All Them Bones is the newest release from Canadian rock group Dammit Goldie. Impeccably written and with a razor-sharp performance style, this track conjures an angsty soundscape of which your inner rebellious teen is undoubtedly starving for a taste. In addition to some very catchy hooks, All Them Bones raises the bar very high on what we’ve come to expect from hard rock.
