Aluminum Boys is an American indie rock project born in Silicon Valley, centered around the songwriting of friends Jared Ottmann and William “Bill” Pence.
The 2nd single from their debut album Collected Pieces (due out March 21), this is the newest release from West Coast alt-rock outfit Aluminum Boys. A bit off the beaten path for our usual fare, favoritE daYs is described by the band as “The Decemberists play Dis-Integration era Cure” and hearkens back to simpler times. Both lyrically and in terms of their overall sound, Aluminum Boys presents us with a large dose of personal nostalgia and wistful wholesome daydreaming of the past. This track is a large departure from the metal that we’re known for showcasing, but the sincerity and lightness is a necessary palate cleanser for your ears. A ode to our much easier time that so many of us can no longer afford to dwell upon.
