Batterfly is a band of two that use their individual roles combined to create the body of their music. Like the two wings of a butterfly, one cannot exist without the other and both share the load to hold up the body and keep it afloat, batting their wings in harmonious unity. To define them is to contradict them, hence the only way they allow is: Batterfly – the opposite of butterfly.
A slow-burn, crooning alt rock vibe, this is the newest effort from independent rock duo Batterfly. Beginning with an easy finger picking guitar that persists for at least half the track, By Now ascends into a noise rock inspired cacophony of squealing amps, shrieking guitar solos, and steadily improvised percussion. But the core of the track remains that laid back yet angsty guitar picking, bringing a very grounded emotional quality to the entire arrangement.
