The latest in bold slow-burn punk flair from Seattle band The Unfit, Big Boys makes a very direct political statement. With ambiguity to the fore front, Big Boys could potentially be interpreted as a refreshing mask-off commentary about the incoming US oligarchic administration. Giving us an ominous sound uncomplicated by needless detail, this track has a rather simplified message: They’re coming for you too. After a highly successful 2022-2023 tour, Big Boys might also just be a rallying cry to alert the scene that the band is back for more. Either way, it’s a post-punk study in melodic noise that is sure to get your head bobbing at the very least.
