We are a punk band from the South side of Chicago. We mix European oi with death rock, new wave, and NWOBHM. We’ve released two demos, three EPs, and an LP. We toured the Midwestern United States pretty extensively in 2024, and we have tours of Europe and the US East Coast booked for 2025.
With an upbeat rhythm reminiscent of classic ska and a tried-and-true punk sensibility, this latest effort from Chicago punk act Lost Legions traverses multiple genres with ease. Boasting a grounded DIY vibe that permeates every aspect of the composition, The Animals We Used To Be leads is in no short supply of catchy chord progressions or a distinctive garage rock quality to the production. Overall, this track rings strong with an almost vintage sound that is difficult to achieve nowadays without seeming pretentious, but Lost Legions manages to do it with an impressive ease.
