Irish DIY musician Skinner is very quickly becoming one of my favorite up-and-coming acts to write about. When we last heard from him, he was fresh off the release of Calling In Sick, an anti-workday musical middle finger. Now he’s back with Sour Milk, an upbeat punk track in the same spirit as his previous single, this track embraces a sense of fun with the same irreverence. Cow bells and fuzzy buzzing guitar progressions are the life blood of this latest effort, with jazz details and a vocal cadence reminiscent of LCD Soundsystem littering the chaotic high energy soundscape. Skinner is a bright talent taking the ridiculous and making it more absurd. Don’t walk, run!
