The latest release. and second single from their upcoming EP Bijou, from dark wave duo Gillian Dream, this track is a gloomy but electrifying concoction. A potent blend of heavy industrial and EDM, Powerr is a dynamic soundscape reverberating with glitches and feedback and giving us plenty of heavy bass to chew on. Distorted voice samples litter the composition like exhausted muses, providing the perfect foundation for what is an equally engaging music video. Featuring a seemingly random amalgamation of vintage television clips such as close-ups of how-to videos and demolition footage, all sandwiched together with layers of blue strobe lights, the accompanying visuals for Powerr have no issue rising up to meet the musical caliber of this track.
