Zeta – Privilege

“Venezuelan Post-Rock outfit Zeta is a multidisciplinary experiment that uses their heavy, atmospheric sound as a positive force for change, considering music to be the magic wand granting space for connection and healing. The group is defined by its strong emphasis on dense polyrhythmic percussion that sways from profoundly authentic Afro-Caribbean music mixed with the most visceral punk beats. With atmospheric elements that are drawn from 70’s era psychedelia and Post-Rock to form a intense and unique listening experience. The band was founded in 2003 in a little town in the coast of the Caribbean Sea called Lecheria (the smallest municipality in Venezuela). They now reside in South Florida, USA. Zeta is comprised by the multi-instrumentalist and founders Juan Chi and Dani Debut, with Chino Sandoval on Drums and Tony Pereira on Bass.”

Overflowing with innovative detail, this crossover between hard rock and metal is from Venezuelan band Zeta. Featuring a rich soundscape of guitar riffs and distinctive percussion, listening to Privilege is a privilege you won’t want to miss out on. Multi-tiered and innovative in their composition, Zeta has an approach to music that is a little bit “everything but the kitchen sink”, as evidenced by the inclusion of an excerpt from a Nina Simone interview. But this technique also has a sense of refinement that feels highly intentional as well.
