Cold In Berlin – Dream One

“Formed in London in 2010, Cold in Berlin’s self-released debut album Give Me Walls was an Artrocker magazine album of the year. Mojo said it was “Impossible not to get sucked in by their dark whirlpool of noise,” while Loud and Quiet and Q argued over whether Maya was the new Patti Smith or Siouxsie Sioux.

As the bands’ sound became heavier and darker, Universal subsidiary Candlelight came knocking – and albums two and three – And Yet (2012) and The Comfort of Loss and Dust (2015) – received critical acclaim from influential publications across Europe and established the band on the alternative live scene, leading to major festival performances and an appearance in the Terror and Wonder exhibition at the British Library.

Cold in Berlin are psyched to be joining the truest of independent labels New Heavy Sounds as they continue to explore the darkest corners of heavy guitar composition.”

Released earlier this year, this track from UK metal band Cold In Berlin is the first single off of their new EP titled The Body Is The Wound. An electrifying but brooding composition, Dream One comes in with a trance-like approach to lyricism before a rapid crescendo into epic bass and guitar riffs. Conjuring images of flashing lights and warehouse parties of the years gone by, it’s not wonder the accompanying visual for this track has over 21K views on Youtube.
