“Delivering beautifully haunting ambience combined with gut punching heaviness, Blessings of Mara is a British metalcore band hailing from South London.
Making their mark during the Covid-19 pandemic, they self-released their first single, Cardiac, in May 2021. They then made waves with their second single, Thalassophobia, which was released in November 2021 and was voted #1 in The Versatile Virgo’s ‘New Music Monthly’, securing a spot in her ‘Best Heavy Songs of 2021’ playlist.
After spending some time writing and recording throughout 2022, they released ‘Fortune Teller’ which was their fastest growing and highest listened to song so far, netting many playlisters and blogger’s attention. Following up on that success, Blessings of Mara are hitting hard with ‘Voidwalker’ to be released on April 19th, which continues the path that ‘Fortune Teller’ laid for them, with huge ambient soundscapes, groovy riffs, heavy guitars and darker, heavier vocals.“
The latest from UK metal band Blessings of Mara, this track was released back in April 2024 and boasts a surprisingly high production value for a relatively underground band. Voidwalker wastes no time diving right into the fray with dynamic and cinematic progressions and performances. Brutal and complex in both composition and delivery, Blessings of Mara are a triumph in the way of songwriting, carving larger than life images through sound.
