Stepfather Fred – Tripped My Demon

RUBICON – with their sixth album, the heavy alternative rockers STEPFATHER FRED cross genre boundaries as usual and deliver an incredibly versatile album. While songs like “Tripped my Demon” sound like Five Finger Death Punch, a Spanish guitar comes around the corner in sVenorita. While “Abacus” has Toolesque features and takes the listener on a depressive emotional journey, the banger “Collecting Faith” creates hope.

The four Allgäu natives always manage to integrate the necessary energy into their songwriting to guarantee a firework display of emotion, power and party with the songs on stage.

Ahead of it’s premiere in just 16 more hours, we had the pleasure previewing the newest single from German metal band Stepfather Fred. A boiling concoction of fluid roiling melodic guitar riffs and precise instrumental details throughout, Tripped My Demon takes the best of alt-metal and runs with it. With gritty but emotionally honest songwriting and vocals, Stepfather Fred’s latest effort is perfectly orchestrated explosion of sound.
