Released just last week, this is the latest effort by Australian multi-instrumentalist and composer Jaya Lexxa. While the title might be a slightly poorly conceived play-on-words, don’t be fooled – Parasitechosis packs a heavy punch on multiple levels. With some acrobatic songwriting that delivers line after line of clever double entendre and darkly humorous quips, all with a grimy industrial homage to horrorcore, this track pumps fresh blood into an underground cultural phenomenon that had started to flounder. While we’re moving away from trap metal as a subgenre, we’re definitely happy to see dynamic music still coming out of that corner of the scene.
