“With their sixth, self-titled studio album, REZET are back with full force! Eleven songs and a piano intro offer listeners first-class speed/thrash metal, which fits easily between international classics from the 80s and 90s, as well as the latest tips from today. The recordings seem like a second spring for the band: honest, direct, fresh and ultra heavy! This may be one of the strongest and most mature line-ups in the band’s history. At the beginning of the previous year, none other than the string sorcerer Nikolay Atanasov (AGENT STEEL), who comes from Bulgaria and lives in Denmark, was recruited. He complements the line-up with the bassist Lorenz Kandolf (TRAITOR among others), who joined beforehand. Since the debut “Have Gun, Will Travel” (2010), which is now considered a classic in the “New Wave of Thrash Metal”, the core of the group has been band founder, singer, guitarist and main composer Ricky Wagner, as well as the exceptional Drummer Bastian “attt” Santen.“
Released just a couple weeks ago, this is the latest from German metal band Rezet. Charismatic and high octane in both style and performance, True As Lies boasts a diverse composition that ranges from heavy gallop rhythms to delicious howling guitar riffs. The band had this to say about their most recent effort: “It’s like a Jam with Lips from ANVIL. Many Solos by Lips (ANVIL), Nikolay Atanasov (Rezet, Agent Steel), and Ricky Wagner (Rezet, Violent Force).”
