“Kyle Ewers is a name well known in the Chicago and bordering Indiana Hard Rock and Metal scene. After years of work in his Korn tribute band Freak On A Leash, releases with bands Devil In The White City and Fear and Grace, Kyle has focused more recently on his own instrumental music that is inspired by his love for film. Through cinematic themed tracks, Kyle has a wide spectrum of expressing himself with a guitar style that is all his own – all while pushing his usual heavy genres and boundaries.”
Originally released back in November 2021 (a lifetime ago, if you ask me), this track from Chicago artist Kyle Ewers, though almost 3 years old now, still proves itself to be a stand out instrumental effort in the metalcore subgenre. With a title and artwork themed after the Godzilla character Ghidorah, or Monster Zero, this track is a powerfully melodic composition that focuses on guitar technique and progressions. With a heavy hand in percussion here and there, Monster Zero maintains it high octane focus on instrumental prowess throughout.
