“Heavy. Hazy. Rock. IROH is the brainchild of singer and guitarist Brandon Welch (of Planet of the Sun and Far-Less) and features Billy Steele on lead guitar and backup vocals, Ryan Orren on bass, and Steve Brooks on drums.”
Released in March 2024, this is the latest from US rock band IROH. A grimy, fuzzy blend of alt-metal and stoner rock, crash+burn has some powerful and punchy songwriting paired with heavy grooving instrumentals. With catchy choruses and an even catchier breakdown in the middle, which ascends into a soaring guitar solo, IROH proves with this release that they are a dynamic force to be reckoned with. Unique and innovative in their compositional skills and combination of different rock sub-genres, this is a band that you definitely shouldn’t sleep on.
