“New Million are an Alternative Metal/Electronic Rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2019, high school friends Alex Tsolakis and Tarsh Piccioni after years of gigging in punk and metal bands wanted to venture off into a new direction. After two years of preparation, accompanied by Jack Campbell on vocals, New Million had made their long awaited debut with LA CRUCIFIXION DU SOLEIL. Following their debut, Chaos Theory was released as the band went on to explore new sounds. After the release of LA CRUCIFIXION DU SOLEIL and Chaos Theory, New Million released their EP, ‘Royal’ with the addition of Tyler Theo on guitar, New Million had stuck true to their metal roots as an homage to the bands that each member was in leading up to the inception of New Million. In 2023, New Million wanted to start fresh. Harkening a new sound, image and mentality. A new era of New Million was born with the release of Health. Produced by Chris Lalic of Windwaker and Justin Keurntjes of To Octavia, New Million aim to move forward as the band progresses with a new modern and genre bending sound. In late 2023, New Million are set to release their second EP entitled, ‘Blooming’“
Released a year ago in June 2023, this track from Australian alt-metal band New Million has garnered a lot of popularity since its release and has over 2.4K views on Youtube, as of the publishing of this article. Part of their EP Blooming, released in September 2023, Health is a soaring anthemic song with a true sense of emotional sincerity in the songwriting. With powerful guitar riffs and a truly earth-cracking breakdown, New Million demonstrates a strong sense of versatility and multi-dimensionality in their approach to music. All around, in vocal delivery and instrumental composition, Health is a stand out in the alt-metal genre and is a real representation of New Million’s body of work as a whole.
