“Gold Dime is an unapologetic art rock band & the brainchild of drummer/vocalist Andrya Ambro, best known as half the duo Talk Normal. Her songs are not for the faint of heart. 2017 brought the release of their debut full-length Nerves which Bandcamp described as “a gutsy, dense, fascinating work.” Their more surreal 2nd LP My House was released in 2019, both on Fire Talk. Gold Dime released their critically acclaimed third album No More Blue Skies in October 2023 on No Gold – a new imprint from Angus Andrew from Liars. The Wire Magazine dubbed the record as “one of the most vibrant, purposeful rock records of the year.” Since 2015 they have toured the US and opened for the likes of Lower Dens, U.S. Girls, EMA, Liars, Rainer Maria, The Blow, Bush Tetras, Deerhoof and Xiu Xiu.”
Released in October 2023, this track from US based art rock band Gold Dime takes experimental and abstract to a new level. With fuzzy avant-garde moments that sound like sections from the Eraserhead soundtrack, Wasted Wanted blends menacing drum work with industrial beatnik swagger and shrieking guitars. The lead single from the band’s latest album No More Blue Skies, this track exemplifies what makes Gold Dime highly unique and innovative as creators and music makers in today’s age of genre crossing corporatization and cookie-cutter packaged artistry.
