“Mindwipes is a four-piece alternative rock band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The band originated in the verdant, rolling hills of Chester County, PA between life-long friends and classmates Cameron Schultz and Michael Rogers. From a young age, the duo bonded over a shared love of both classic and contemporary rock music. In high school, the two formed a band together inspired by the disparate influences The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, Green Day, and Muse.”
With a style that honors rock classics like The Eagles, especially in the vocals and drums, this latest release from Philly alt-rock band Mindwipes manages to achieve both a modern and vintage sound and expounds upon some tried and true musical elements. Complete with a Witchy Woman “oooo-oooh” here and there, Buy Your Way Back plucks its way into a grooving and fuzzy high energy sonic experience with a heavy focus on melodic guitar riffs and laidback delivery. The second single from the band’s upcoming album, with a planned release this Fall, Buy Your Way Back remains loyal to the Mindwipes’s cited influences and forges a new path toward a fresher approach to classic sounds.
