With a heavy pour of palpable femme fatale energy, this latest single from Texas artist Le Destroy is a deep and gooey love letter to industrial music and electronic icons such as Goldfrapp. An intense pairing of visuals and sound bring this track into crisp focus and make it clear, once and for all, that Le Destroy is a force to be reckoned with. Breed is grooving and sexy but brutalist in its own special way, getting straight to the point with songwriting that is almost utilitarian in its frill-less approach. With images of ultrasounds, a black, white, and red color palette, and mechanical metaphors, Breed, while a little on-the-nose at times, is bold and unrelenting in both sound and presentation.
