Mammothor – So Long, Sanity

Mammothor strives to deliver the essence of rock: the thunderous heavy metal riffs and guitar shred of the 80’s, rounded out with the passion and versatility of 90’s alternative. Mammothor is an American hard rock band from Boston, Massachusetts. Travis Lowell (Ashes to Embers) fronts the group with powerful and versatile vocals. Lead guitarist Josh Johnson (Stone Dog ZenIron Horse Parade) graduated from Berklee and studied with guitar shred legend Joe Stump, while rhythm guitarist Alex Muss sharpened his skills in Belarusian metal band Slave of Insanity. The dynamic and steady bass and drums of Lori Gangi and Euz Azevedo (Das Muerte) round out the band’s eclectic sound. Mammothor is sponsored by: Ernie Ball, Wornstar Clothing, Backlund Guitars (Through Eastwood Guitars), Barlow Guitars, InTune Picks, SMS Cables, SJC Drums, Xcel Drumsticks, Too Twisted Stage Art, Headrush FX, Deviant Clothing, Dirtbag Clothing.

Last month’s release from Boston based metal band Mammothor, this track is an epic and relentless blend of 90’s alt-metal and classic thrash influences paired with soaring melodic choruses. So Long, Sanity hits hard from the very first moment, taking a slow narrative lyrical approach that brilliantly offsets the high octane instrumental compositions and powerful vocals. Laser-focused on showcasing technical prowess, Mammothor are clearly seasoned professionals who have truly marinated in their craft and honed it to a sharpened point.
