Abandoning any sort of formulaic approach to hip hop, Hot and Cold is a relentlessly clever and impeccably written collection of bars that have an almost freestyle or stream-of-consciousness vibe. Managing to be catchy while keeping the standard of writing very high, the passion and pleasure Chris Cachia takes in his art-form is very apparent in this masterful piece of story-telling.
