Manchester UK solo artist Amarna released this fantastically experimental approach to thrash and death metal earlier this month and it is one of the coolest and most innovative metal tracks we’ve heard so far this year. Aftermath begins with a long and almost silent atmospheric intro that then plunges straight into guitar riffs and a score of thundering drums. The whole track is just over 2 minutes long and feels very much like an instrumental study than an actual song, but Amarna has certainly struck gold with this one, regardless.
