A slightly confused blend of funk beats, stoner vibes, and experimental rock composition, this latest release from Oregon band Titans of Industry boasts a sense of humor for certain. Featuring an almost trance-like instrumental composition that drift in and out of intensity, the multi-dimensional quality of this track tells us that this band has something to say and a lot of hidden talent to show, especially as the track climaxes toward the end. Catastrophe unfolds much like an actual catastrophe, with new layers unfolding and bringing out new elements of chaos in the form of sound and building on one another. The effect is surprisingly impressive. Don’t sleep on it.
