“Led by former Smile Empty Soul and 12 Stones bassist Jody Linnell, the heavy rock/metal band TRANSIENT is rounded out by seasoned musicians. Based out of New Orleans, Louisiana, the project began as a solo endeavor, but after about a year Linnell decided to recruit good friends from his regional area to complete the lineup. The band consists of Jody Linnell (guitar, bass), Trey J. Mollo (vocals), Emmett Shumate (guitar), and Phil Krohn (drums).”
We love to come across a band out of New Orleans (WhoDat!) and to find one as talented as this is just an added bonus. This track from hard rock outfit Transient was released late last month, followed by an accompanying music video which already has over 2k views. A soaring and multi-layered track, Worlds Apart has an emotional vulnerability to it, that is rare in many tracks we hear of this genre lately, but maintains its hard edge via impeccable guitar and drum work. Transient is a a hidden gem of the bayou that we’re excited to share!
