With a sound located somewhere between Queensrÿche, Crimson Glory and Savatage, the group’s Debut Album ‘Cycles’ was an impressive example of modern progressive metal. ‘Cycles’ boasted intelligent, subtle songwriting, and a fine production gloss courtesy of Jim Morris (Savatage / Crimson Glory). A European Tour w/ Metal Church in 1994 was a great success, as were following tours through 1998 with Yngwie Malmsteen, Dee Snider, and Skyclad. Though the music video concept is one that we’ve seen many times before, Chapter V the track has a haunting quality mixed perfectly with some melodic metal elements. Released in October 2023, this track from New York band Wicked Maraya has garnered over 6000 views for the music video on Youtube and lots of glowing praise from fans old and new alike. From first verse to breakdown, Chapter V is a stunning composition that features a melancholy narrative that evokes images of isolation and suffering, beautifully illustrated in the songwriting.
