Global Plague – Racks

“Global Plague consists of Bram Epstein, Jackson Ward, and John Souki whose musical craft stand up enough individually, but the true sternum-cracking impact comes from the music they demonize together. Stamping each song with their circuitous arrangements that hang on the edge of each dissonant note and rhythm. The band never seems to lose sight of their death metal roots and, to a certain degree, traditional metal. As they push their sound to evolve past any senseless flashy fretwork and recycled tempo changes.
With writing full-fledged riffs, and establishing a groove, it’s with destructive intent, barraging the listener with ear-fetching, floor-punching rhythms. Epstein’s vocal structures are a powerful sonorous death growl which sound more like a demon than human, and consistently soar over the bands wall of sound, keeping Global Plague atop a unique perch in the Metal world.”

This latest release from Global Plague is a bass-heavy blend of rap metal, metalcore, and deathcore. As well as being brutal in the vocal range, RACKS has a groove to it that actually inspires movement (a quality all too rare in the genre today). With a dynamic composition and some razor sharp songwriting, Global Plague has managed to melt our faces and help us have fun while its happening.
