Released literally yesterday, here’s another of those rare tracks that we get the pleasure of the reviewing on the heels of its release (and the second in one day, which is even rarer). US metal band Shadow of the Throne delivers a brutally high octane sonic composition complete with lots of fire and thunder in Memories. Most notable about this track is the melodic overture of a guitar score backing each bridge and giving the listener a refreshing change in pace from the relentless grind and energy provided by the rest of the score. A creative showcase throughout, Shadow of the Throne concludes this powerhouse concoction with an instrumentally complex outro that really drives this masterpiece home.
