German-based dark wave artist Matan Arkin creates an atmospheric and brooding collection of sounds with his September 2023 release Chains. Reminiscent of other dark wave and goth bands like TRVST, Chains is a refreshing cyberpunk dark-synth track that takes us on a lyrical journey as well as an instrumental one. With a computerized feel to the instrumental aspects, the vocals, or more aptly lyrics, are the focus. Delivered as more of a spoken word, Matan creates a poetic immersive experience for the listener.
