Contrary to the average music listener – extreme metal isn’t all blood and gore. Most bands aren’t as gruesome as, say, Cannibal Corpse or early Carcass. In fact, the lyrical content of most death metal is quite profound.
Venom Prison’s latest single “Uterine Industrialisation” is a damning condemnation of Capitalism’s insidious brutalization of women’s bodies. The oppression of women’s bodies by the machine is the oppression of us all. Perhaps the image of “women as breeding machines” is a larger metaphor describing the state of people condemned to work meaningless jobs for the rest of their lives.
Their next project titled “Samsara” is slated for March 15th and we couldn’t be more excited. Venom Prison shows immense promise for the future.
Watch Urine Industrialisation and see for yourself:
Underneath the flashy Trap sound that has dominated the pop charts for the past few years; there is a beast bellowing, waiting for its time.
An undertow of abrasive and subversive music is aching to hit a wider audience.
