The second song from their 2023 EP Edicius I, this track was released in August 2023 by Portuguese metal band Nothisera. You may recognize their name from our review earlier this month of their instrumental piece from the same EP, Unbalanced Liberty. This track is different not only in the pacing, but also in their approach to the subject matter. While Unbalanced Liberty was an outright and straightforward commentary on the current climate of World Politics, We’re (Slaves of) One (Another) is a cleverly concocted piece that turns that same subject matter on it’s head with word play and rapid fire rhythms throughout. With grooving percussion instrumental work and the inclusion of a clean vocal into the fold, this second cut from Edicius I, in many ways, is an even stronger demonstration of the band’s broad range of talent.
