Released just last month, this is the latest from Malaysian band Love As Arson and it’s both a blast from the past as well as a fresh new sound. Heavily influenced by 80’s punk sound, particularly Billy Idol’s Rebel Yell (to which the opening verses owe their melody), Amber City brings together a classic punk approach to songwriting and emo-inspired melodies. Love As Arson’s newest effort is a catchy post-hardcore track with buzzing electronic details and a clean vocal performance soaring soaring home on an uptempo wave of pop sensibility.
