The debut single and lead track off of their upcoming EP, this track was released just over a week ago by UK artist Close Enough to Good Enough. Leading in with a mournful guitar progression and haunting vocals, 1692 (a reference to the year of the Salem Witch Trials) invokes an eery post-rock sound and delivers a strong sense of pathos throughout. A beautifully crafted composition, the attention to detail paid in this track really stands out and sets Close Enough to Good Enough apart from a lot of the recent post-rock we’ve heard so far this year. Definitely an artist to watch!
