Chicago punk/post-punk band Speed Therapy released this banger earlier this month. Boasting a rapid-fire delivery on all fronts, Glass Eye manages to add a true sense of depth to what would otherwise be a pretty classic punk sound. Utilizing softer breakdowns and “breathers”, peppered in throughout the track, Speed Therapy achieves a measured complexity that sets the track apart from its peers. Squealing amps make for a very DIY garage sound, but the sheer versatility and compositional innovation make it obvious that these kids are not amateurs.
