The latest release from Phoenix based post-rock band Le Mal, this track is a wholly underground and independent effort, having been both mixed and recorded by the band itself. An angsty blend of just about every wave imaginable (new wave, dark wave, and cold wave), Red Maple Door is a veritable sea of different musical details, with plucky bass guitar as the connecting thread throughout. Groove-laiden and uptempo, Le Mal’s newest effort inspires movement throughout and captures the soul of an era of late 70’s/early 80’s that we thought was long lost.
